Catching Up!

Hi readers and subscribers!!! Well, summer has finally given me a little free time this week. So now we can catch up on some recaps of things accomplished so far this year at Go Flamenco Arts.

This spring we had Isaac Tovar join us in San Antonio for the 2nd year in a row. He is always a student favorite and was able to help inspire our students and broaden their skills.

We had dancers come in from across the state including Austin, Houston, and the Valley. We were thrilled to welcome undergraduates from the flamenco program at UTRGV! The flamenco community in Texas is going strong and we are so happy to be a part of it.

Our weekend hosting maestro began with a sold out tablao featuring Isaac Tovar, guitarist Jose Manuel Tejeda, cantaora Celia Corrales, dancer Drea Pacot, and myself :)

The rest of the weekend was full of classes! Isaac taught our beginner students a powerful Tientos. Intermediate students were able to work on a flameco essential -- the ever-fun Alegrias! Maestro Isaac shared a grounded and deep Siguiriyas with our advanced students.

Overall, we had the greatest time and are excited to see Maestro Isaac the next time he comes to Texas. Please enjoy this recap video and get excited for our upcoming tablao and workshop opportunities coming up September 20-22 with flamenco star Fanny Ara!
