Week One!

Hi all! I hope the end of the week is treating you all well. I have uploaded Lesson 1* which you can find on the Reels tab and access for FREE by logging in (if you're unsure how to do this, navigate to GOFLAMENCA.COM and click on the "log in" button in the top right corner to create your free account).

Over here we are wrapping up Week One tomorrow with the regular Veranos classes plus a guest class with Manuel Linan of the hit show "Viva!"

He is teaching our group a wonderful Seguiriyas with the most ole-inspiring musicality. His use of shading is simply out of this world! If you wanna see Linan's artisty with your own eyes, I present to you the following video:

This Cana is breathtaking, and not just because it's a duet with my ultimate dance idol Marco Flores. The choreography is filled with everything you could want in a baile: flawless footwork, gorgeous marcajes, and even hair-ography of the eyebrows?!?

I have seen this clip no less than 78 times and with each viewing I notice another beautiful subtlety or soul-hitting pellizco. Let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments!

*Please note, I expect the production quality to improve as the month goes on, but I welcome any feedback you may have (while keeping in mind these videos are only meant as tools to add to your independent practice and are not intended to be a substitute for in-class instruction). If you have any suggestions, please email me at goflamencoarts@gmail.com

Wow this caña was thought provoking with such an emotional charge. Thank you for sharing this clip and of course your journey. I loved the cante with con puras Palmas. Such a percussive piece by 2 maestro. Now was this a caña/Bambera hybrid - fusion? I loved to hear bambera in a Caña. I've watched this now several times now and I keep wanting to watch it again. I see how you are hooked. Abrazo Para ti and Ole to you for investing in your passion and putting in the work. Franchesca/
